SOCCER COACHING 2000
has a long-standing record of professionalism and reliability. Having provided a coaching service to primary schools since February 1999, we have an organisation where coaches confidently supply a full range of services to schools in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.
Coaches and Assistant Coaches
are all full time employees of Soccer Coaching 2000 Limited. This makes a huge difference to the level of service that can be guaranteed, in terms of reliability and coaches’ commitment to their work.
All Coaches and Assistant Coaches
are screened through the Disclosure & Barring Service (Enhanced Certificate).
All Coaches have appropriate qualifications.
Those leading sessions have a minimum Level 2 Coaching Certificate. They work in pairs and most assisting coaches also have a Level 2 Certificate, and others have Level 1. All coaching staff participate in regular training, including Safeguarding Children and best practice workshops and Emergency Aid training. Weekly on the job training is on-going and delivered by Wayne Clark, Director of Coaching. Following a statement from the Association for Physical Education (AfPE), we enrolled our coaches onto the level 3 Certificate in supporting the delivery of Physical Education and School Sport. The qualification has ensured that we comply with the most up-to-date standards and has provided fresh ideas and knowledge. Most of our coaches have already completed the qualification and everyone else is working towards completion. From September 2017 we will have 30 full time coaches working in local schools.
Mentoring and monitoring
are vital aspects of our service. Directors Wayne Clark and Rosemary Jackson monitor the coaches’ performance and schools’ satisfaction throughout the year. We are always available and quick to respond to any requests or concerns. We are able to bring our years’ of experience in the field to our weekly training sessions with our coaching staff and offer a high level of support to them in their development. We have produced a quality evaluation form for schools to use which is available upon request.
